The company “Ariete Fattoria Latte Sano” was founded in 1949 as a predominantly agricultural company, transformed, first by the President Eng. Goffredo Cozzi and then by Dr. Enrico Lorenzoni, into an industrial plant for the processing and sale of milk produced in its own dairy farms. In 1960, starting its own technological and commercial revolution, the company was the first to propose milk containers in disposable packaging, thus reaching significant production levels both for the speed of packing and for the greater ease of distribution.

Currently, Ariete Fattoria Latte Sano S.p.A. is the holding company of the Latte Sano group. The Group operates both in the direct production of milk and dairy products, mozzarella and short-aged cheeses, and in the marketing of food products under its own brand and third-party brands.

The main plant and headquarter of the company is located in Rome in an area located about 10 km from the city centre and surrounded by greenery and a farm of about 60 hectares. Overall, including the plant located in Rieti, the company transforms about 75,000,000 litres of milk per year, seving approximately 11,000 customers in the area. The Ariete Fattoria Latte Sano group has reached production levels such as to represent, with its brands (Latte Sano, Centrale Latte Rieti, Alta Sabina, Centrale del Latte di Latina, Centrale del Latte di Frosinone, Antica Latteria), the third national operator in the market of fresh pasteurised milk.
